I received my blocks for Christmas. My dad made a wooden box to keep them in.
The box was also a platform to build on, and a stool to help me reach where my short legs wouldn't take me.
Those blocks have been in the family for over 70 years. In the little hands of three generations,
they became castles, tunnels, forts and things that children still build.
And oh, how many children had to see how high the blocks could be stacked before they'd fall!
If ever there were a more perfect toy, I can't think of it.
Simple. They're only pieces of wood...until a child transforms then into something magical.
Educational. A happy way to learn the alphabet, and numbers, and animals. And a good way to develop motor skills and dexterity.
Safe. Nothing to hurt a child.
Indestructible. To be handed down through generations.
It's hard to find wooden blocks in toy stores any more.
But I've found a small firm in Michigan who will make the set of 64 blocks
and the wooden boxes to keep them in. (An optional brass name plate is available.)
You can start a tradition with your children or grandchildren...one that will last for generations.
Sincerely,
Dennis Dunn
P.S. One of our customers ordered the blocks with nameplate to read Jason, build your dreams. I think that says it all.
